Janet began studying Astrology in the early 1970's because this ancient art/science seemed to hold the answers to some of her most pressing questions about how the world works, and the people in it. She was impressed with the accuracy of this ancient art/science.
In April of 1978, after studying on her own for more than six years, she took the challenge and passed the six hour exam for Professional Astrologers, Inc., and in August of the same year, she passed the eight hour, Professional Level exam for American Federation of Astrologers - thus earning the coveted PMAFA (Professional Member, American Federation of Astrologers) after her name.
In 1981 Janet began teaching Astrology to adult education classes in Union City, CA and the same year, she was elected Vice President of Professional Astrologers, Inc., a position she held for 5 1/2 years before resigning to devote more time to her university studies. She remained on the Board of Directors for many more years.
In 1985 as a Human Development major at California State University, Hayward, Janet was invited to lecture on Astrology for the Human Development Department, presenting an analysis of the horoscope charts of Freud and Jung. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Development in 1988.
Janet currently holds a Masters Degree in Interdisciplinary Consciousness Studies from JFK University, Orinda. In addition to her Astrology work, she has been a corporate vice president and trainer, working primarily with franchise owners and field offices both here and in Australia. Leaving the corporate life in 1997, Janet currently devotes herself full time to the art and science of astrological practice. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for American Federation of Astrologers, one of the largest astrological organizations in the world.
Dubbed "the down to earth astrologer", Janet is a strong believer in educating the public about the value and practical usefulness of astrology to both business and personal questions. She often does talks in the Bay Area and nationally. When she is not speaking, she offers private consultations for her clients.

weekly, live broadcast radio show, "StarTalk" which formerly aired
on Friday afternoons, Janet is currently producing a bi-monthly cable TV show,
"Exploring The Intuitive Arts".
